Adalberto Mejia Strong in No-Decision Wednesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Adalberto Mejia delivered five scoreless innings of one-hit ball on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians, but was ultimately handed a no-decision as his offense could do nothing against opposing pitchers Carlos Carrasco and reliever Brad Hand. The Twins would go on to lose, 2-0. Mejia now has a chance to solidify a rotation spot with the departure of Lance Lynn. Mejia has surrendered just 10 hits and no runs in his last three appearances. Though he hasn't offered much in the strikeout department thus far, if he continues like this for the remainder of the season he might offer an intriguing fantasy option for pitcher-needy teams. Next up for the 25-year-old is a rematch against Carrasco and the Indians.
