Through his first look at Double-A pitching this season, the 22-year-old has struggled to find consistency with a .211/.282/.341 slash line, just six home runs, and 31 RBI. However, in his past nine games, the infielder has begun to heat up with an excellent .400/.447/.571 line, three doubles, five RBI, and a 3:8 BB:K ratio. Ortiz is considered the 11th-best prospect in the Texas pipeline on MLB.com and should see most of next season at Triple-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
