Aaron Sanchez Leaves With Injury After First Inning
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (finger) had been pitching well as of late, going three consecutive games allowing three runs or less – each of them being quality starts. Unfortunately, Sanchez was derailed a bit on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels when he was forced to leave after only one inning (25 pitches) with a right index finger contusion. He didn’t have a very good inning, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk, but perhaps the injury had something to do with it. X-rays were negative on the finger, but we’re unsure at the moment if Sanchez will undergo further examination. Stay tuned for updates.
