Aaron Rodgers A Solid Fantasy Option In Week 6
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (thumb) will face the New York Jets in Green Bay this Sunday. The 38-year-old has dealt with a thumb injury in practice this week, but head coach Matt LaFleur said, "we don't have much concern as far as gameday." Rodgers has yet to finish inside the top 12 this season, but he has a decent shot at making it there Sunday. The Jets are a solid matchup, as they allow the 13th-most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position. The downside is the Jets have had the fourth-fewest pass attempts thrown at their defense in the league. Opposing offenses are successfully running the ball against them, which could lead to another pedestrian stat line for the reigning MVP. Rodgers will need to clear 250 yards, throw for two or more touchdowns, and keep the turnovers at a minimum to finish inside the top 12. He should be considered a low-tier QB1 in Week 6.
