Aaron Nola Opens Season With Quality Start and Win
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola went six innings on Opening Day on Thursday, giving up two hits, one earned run, five walks and eight strikeouts. Nola gave up a Nick Markakis RBI single in the second inning and an Ozzie Albies single to left. Giving up five walks is alarming, but if the other team can't hit you, then there aren't many worries. This will be the first of many Nola quality starts and wins.
