Aaron Nola Earns Second Playoff Win Friday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola won his second game in two playoff starts when his club beat the Atlanta Braves 9-1 on Friday to take a 2-1 Division Series lead. The 27-year-old completed six innings, allowing one unearned run on five hits and two walks while striking out six. Nola's been dominant thus far in the postseason, not giving up an earned run over 12.2 innings. It follows a great regular season in which the right-hander posted an 11-13 record, 3.25 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 29.1 K%. His next start won't come until the next round if the Phillies advance.
