Aaron Jones Tallies 80 Yards During Sunday's Loss
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones carried the ball 13 times for 63 yards, adding two receptions on three targets for 17 yards, during the team's 27-22 loss to the New York Giants Sunday. The 15 opportunities for the 27-year-old were what you want to see from your RB1 for fantasy. However, he had a disappointing performance against a team allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position heading into Sunday. Once again, Jones did little through the air. Part of the reason many were excited to take the sixth year back in fantasy drafts was his perceived target increase, but that has not happened up to this point. Green Bay has a favorable schedule over the next month, but the matchups are not great for the running back position. Expectations may need to be adjusted for Jones moving forward, and he should be considered a high-end RB2 against the New York Jets next week.
