Aaron Jones Leads Team In Receptions And Scores Twice
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones took eight carries for 23 yards, adding nine receptions on 10 targets for 53 yards and two touchdowns during the team's 23-21 loss to the Washington Commanders. The Packers' offense could not get anything going on the ground, but the 27-year-old was heavily involved in the passing game and bailed his fantasy managers out with two touchdowns. The eight carries were Jones' second-fewest of the season, but Green Bay had to abandon the run game in the second half to try and catch up to the Commanders. Overall, this was a nice fantasy performance for a running back who was underperforming over the past month, but it is tough to predict if his success will continue if the offense can't put the pieces together. Jones will travel to Buffalo next week and face a defense allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. He should be considered an RB2 in Week 8.
