Aaron Ashby To Have Surgery Friday
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby (shoulder) will have arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder on Friday that will keep him out until late in the season, at best, according to manager Craig Counsell. Ashby suffered a slight labral tear in his shoulder in February and landed on the 15-day injured to open the 2023 campaign, but now he may end up missing the whole season. It's a tough break for the 24-year-old southpaw and for any fantasy managers that had been stashing him in deeper leagues for his strikeout upside. He'll likely be moved to the 60-day IL soon, and fantasy managers definitely shouldn't feel the need to continue holding onto him in single-year leagues.
