49ers Elevate Willie Snead IV To Active Roster

The San Francisco 49ers elevated wide receiver Willie Snead IV and linebacker Curtis Robinson from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster to be available for Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Detroit Lions. Robinson likely has a better chance of being active with linebacker Oren Burks (shoulder) listed as questionable to play and with offensive tackle Kalia Davis (ankle) already ruled out. The 49ers re-signed Snead to their practice squad at the end of December. The 31-year-old veteran wideout hasn't been active for a game this year since Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens. He played in four total games during the regular season and caught just two of his three targets for 14 yards. If Snead is active against Detroit, he probably won't see the field much, if at all.
