4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers opened up the 21-day practice window for cornerback Richard Sherman (calf) on Monday. The 32-year-old veteran hasn't played since Week 1 and remains on Injured Reserve, but he's getting closer to a return and might have a chance to play in Week 10 against the Saints. San Francisco has been one of the teams hit hardest by injuries to both sides of the ball, so getting the five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro cornerback back in the fold will be welcomed news. The Niners defense no longer has the high-end upside it did when the 2020 season began and they were torched by the Packers last Thursday night. Fantasy managers won't be jumping to get the Niners D in their lineups against a Saints team that just dropped 38 points on a strong Buccaneers Defense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
