4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers are bringing in free-agent quarterback Joe Flacco for a visit. The 36-year-old spent the 2020 season with the New York Jets and played for 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello in Denver. Flacco has long been regarded by head coach Kyle Shanahan as a good fit for his offense, but the veteran signal-caller would merely be backing up Jimmy Garoppolo as an insurance policy. He started four games for the Jets last year, completing 55 percent of his passes for 864 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. The Niners also have Nick Mullens, Josh Rosen and Josh Johnson as backup quarterbacks on their current roster.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
