MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Cal Quantrill UNDER 4.5 strikeouts (-155 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Quantrill and the Guardians will face the Reds this afternoon. While the Reds were once atop the strikeout charts vs. right-handed pitchers, they now find themselves with a rate of just 22% over the previous two weeks, which ranks in the middle of the pack over that span. Quantrill has also made six starts this season and managed to go over this total in just one of those starts while only reaching four strikeouts in one other start.
Framber Valdez OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-120 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Valdez started the season a bit rocky but has now gone over this K prop in each of his last two starts. Today, he will be facing the Texas Rangers who are posting a K rate of nearly 27% vs. left-handed pitchers over the previous two weeks, which ranks seventh-worst in the league over that span. They are also posting an abysmal 57 wRC+, which should give Valdez some longevity in this one.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Jose Ramirez OVER .5 hits (-190 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Ramirez has been a tad cold, but he has still recorded hits in seven of his previous 13 games. He has also hit right-handed pitchers quite well in 2022 as noted by his .462 wOBA. He will be up against Tyler Mahle who has allowed left-handed hitters to post a 4.75 FIP and 1.53 WHIP against him on the season.
Jose Abreu OVER 1.5 total bases (-115 DraftKings Sportsbook)
I wish we had a bit better odds on Abreu as he has been very streaky in 2022, but he has collected hits in four of his previous five games and does have a double in each of his previous two games. He has hit three dingers and five doubles off right-handed pitchers this season ad will be up against Carlos Hernandez. Hernandez has been clobbered by righties this season as he has allowed a 5.27 FIP, a 2.25 WHIP, and given up 26 hits across just 13 1/13 innings pitched against them.
