BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 14% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The first overall pick in the 2015 draft hasn't lived up to the offensive hype in his first two full seasons in Atlanta and hit just .238/.304/.395 with 14 home runs, 59 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 136 games in 2018. There was also some concern that he might lose playing time at shortstop this year if he continued to struggle. That hasn't been the case, though, as the 25-year-old has been solid so far, going 7-for-22 (.318) with two home runs, five runs scored and seven RBI in the first eight games heading into Sunday's affair.
His excellent defensive skills and good speed will help his cause if his bat is slumping, and Swanson has plenty of potential to break out with the bat in 2019. Although hitting lower in Atlanta's lineup isn't ideal for fantasy production, he should also have a lot of opportunities to knock in runs in a dangerous Braves lineup overall. Swanson needs to find ways to get on base more frequently, but you could do a lot worse in deeper leagues at shortstop if you're speculating on pure upside.
