BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 69 percent of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: Danny Espinosa's ownership rate has skyrocketed recently, and for good reason. Over the past week, he's hitting an absurd .385/.407/.962 with five homers and 15 RBI. Obviously that's an impossible pace to sustain, but the veteran infielder (he's eligible everywhere except catcher) has been producing at an elite level for a while now. Since the end of April, he's produced an .899 OPS, 17 homers, and 77 R+RBI despite hitting almost exclusively at the bottom of the order.
We should expect some regression in the power department moving forward since his batted ball distance doesn't really support the surge, but Espinosa is both pulling the ball and hitting it in the air more than usual, which bodes well. He also currently boasts the best quality of contact metrics of his career. Not bad for a guy who was only supposed to be a placeholder for Trea Turner. If he's somehow still available in your league, go get him and his incredible facial hair.
