Welcome to the April 28th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on the April 27th games. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- Jazz Chisholm (seventh SB), take time to work on the hammies. Contact Pete Alonso. He's a strong believer in them.
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (seven) orders the Grand Slam breakfast & a bowl of Snap, Crackle, & POP!
- Trea Turner (six) made Juan Soto a promise, "I will be the power bat the people need." Now you get entry into the 5 HR/5 SB club. Javier Baez and Marcus Semien are there to greet you.
- Franmil Reyes doesn't need Jobu. He do it himself. Two HR makes seven.
- I wonder if I meant to click the Aaron Civale (4-0; 7.2 IP, 4 ER, 4 K) button instead of the Zach Plesac button on draft days.
- Jesus Aguilar loves his carbs, four taters in last five days. Berti (2) watches & imitates. Eat Big; Lift Big.
- Kenta Maeda (5.2 IP, 5 ER, 3 K) must be mad at you. Oooh-wee. You should just apologize for whatever it was.
- Jose Ramirez (six) lets F. Reyes do the heavy lifting & then crushes a 411 footer of his own.
- I love Rock'n'Roll. Byron Buxton (seven) put another dime in the jukebox, baby.
- Jakob Junis enjoyed the Pirates (6.1 IP, 2 ER, 9 K). He orders two for next week. CLE/CWS. Hmm.
- Big Bears of Giancarlo Stanton (six), Aaron Judge (five) & Kyle Higashioka (four) feast. Now they must rest.
- Max Scherzer, 5-5-5 on a baseball scratch-off does not win. (5 IP, 5 ER, 5 K)
- Nobody move, Cavan Biggio was three-for-three.
- Nick Solak (seven) screamin' Oooooh, 422- & 380-foot BARRACUDAS!
- Garrett Richards (7 IP, 1 ER, 10 K) w/ 19 swing & misses. TEX/BAL next. Stream him.
- Bobby Dalbec (one) sips on his Starbucks latte as he watches the seagull fly away.
- It's gettin' crowded in the SEVEN club. Nine current members.
- Ronald Acuna Jr. (eight) would rather be in a bunk bed w/ Rhys Hoskins than a crowded room. I guess it's a three-stack bed cause Ryan McMahon (eight) joins the slumber party too.
- Adrian Houser (5.2 IP, 3 ER, 7 K) has more HR than Christian Yelich.
- THUNDAH! Didn't think Miguel Cabrera (two) still had it in him. 445-foot monster.
- We said wait for him...Sean Murphy (three) making an explosive entrance.
- Ian Happ drops & Nico Hoerner bats leadoff. .389 AVG. I like it.
- Adrian Houser w/ W vs MIA. LAD next..no thanks. MIA next week..yes please.
- Small hiccups. Lucas Giolito with 6.2 IP, 4 ER, 7 K. **You know it was DET, right?** Small hiccups, I said.
- It hurts so good. C'mon, Jesse Winker, make it hurt so good. Sixth wish granted.
- C.J. Cron (four) slides one up into the San Francisco breeze. Let mother nature do the rest.
- Chris Paddack stands alone in the pasture (5.1 IP, 3 ER, 5 K). No, I'm stubbornly out there as well.
- Carson Kelly batting .340 w/ 6 long-distance deposits.
- 5 HR?! This isn't the Oracle Park you're used to.
- Walker Buehler with the tainted ten. (5.1 IP, 5 ER, 10 K).
- Cristian Javier w/new superstition...spill coffee on yourself = 7 IP, 3 BB, 6 K.
Endgame
- Alex Colome in "low-leverage". 0.2 IP, 2 ER, 3 BB. Is there a "no-leverage situation"?
- James Karinchak (two). Still believing in Clase.
- Diego Castillo (five)
- Richard Rodriguez (four). Flying solo. Weaker teams get saves too.
- Matt Barnes (five)
- Josh Hader (five)
- Alex Reyes (six). 2.1% K-BB. I don't get it.
- Ryan Pressly (three)
- Gregory Soto (three)
- Carlos Estevez (one)
- Sean Doolittle (one)
Closing Thoughts
- Good mornin'. Good mornin'. It's a great day to be a Wednesday. You still draw breath so you can get out there & dominate. Make your day different in some small way. Maybe just roll your window down & drive to work with the wind blowing through your hair.
