Welcome to the April 12th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on the April 11th games. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- J.D. Martinez (five) & Rafael Devers (four) reopen their tattoo parlors. Martinez has three customers while Devers focuses on two. Customer service.
- For each HR that Trey Mancini (two) hits, I'll donate $10 to a cancer charity at year's end. Total: $20. Yes, cancer & I have personal beef.
- Trent Grisham (second HR) does his best to revive the story of Beau & Josephine. The first one was a hit. The sequel seems just as captivating.
- Nick Pivetta is 2-0. Do what you want with that. (6 IP, 4 ER, 3 BB, 7 K)
- Maikel Franco blesses his new home with a 405-foot care package.
- Eduardo Escobar carries a hot bat. Deja vu! Four straight games with homer. Anyone listening?
- Just when you think you're smart for grabbing a Trevor Williams win...3.1 IP, 5 ER, 3 K.
- No, I don't care that Javier Baez (three) struck out three times. That one moonshot was so worth it.
- Will you be surprised if Robbie Grossman is 15/15 by season's end? Put 20/20 vibes into the world.
- Bryce Harper (two) with Express Deliveries in all direction. Must be able to receive 112.8 mph packages.
- Uh-oh, you've done it now. Y'all have allowed Trea Turner to tap the SB keg.
- Wilson Ramos sends out his fourth encore screaming "This ones for you Detroit!" Woooh, we love you.
- MUAHAHAHA! Wow, that's a very devilish laugh, Randy Arozarena (second HR,). Just keep playing your game & doubters will enjoy their crow lightly salted.
- How many leagues do I have without a single save? Rhetorical question because it's way too damn many.
- No, Jordan Montgomery, this is not the way. (5 IP, 4 ER, 4 K).
- 'Why Do You Think We Don't Run' Crew: Eddie Rosario (one), Joey Gallo (two).
- Give Brent Honeywell Jr. some love. He's had a few obstacles, but it's great to see him finally back on the mound.
- Manny Machado makes a long-distance deposit. I can only imagine there would be more if Fernando Tatis Jr.'s enthusiasm was around.
- Awww, he's shy. Cheer him on ladies & gents. Alright! Gio Urshela showing some confidence (1st tater).
- Taylor Trammell, did you get a copy of Kelenic's script? Back-to-back games with a homer.
- Anyone already seeing Byron Buxton (five HR) getting drafted in the second round in 2022?
- Kyle Seager (two) says it again, in case you missed it the first time. YAGA!
- Jorge Soler doesn't shine as bright when covered with a Golden Sombrero.
- Ouch, who did Daniel Ponce de Leon piss off. 1.1 IP, 7 ER screams "He needs to learn a lesson."
- Luke Weaver did what? 7 IP, 8 K. Well done.
- Zach McKinstry demands all the playing time. 2 HR, .321 AVG.
- Is Alec Bohm a great actor or maybe a ballerina in a former life with a magnificent pirouette that was so delightfully distracting?

- Kyle Zimmer (one)
- Rafael Montero (two)
- Mark Melancon (five)
- Hector Neris (two)
- Liam Hendriks (BS). Don't panic. Check & clean your britches while enjoying the sweet sounds of Carlos Santana.
Closing Thoughts
- Good mornin', Good mornin'. It's an early morning, but some days you need those. There's less hustle and bustle so you can get things done before the masses (and their stresses) slow you down. Pick a couple of tasks and get them done quickly. There must be successes. Don't be satisfied with mediocrity. Have a great Monday.
- I hope your FAB activities went well. If not, that's good. At least you saved some money. If you spent money, that's good. You got the players you needed, not just some random players, right?
