Mavericks Hopeful Jalen Brunson Plays Wednesday
3 years agoDallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson (foot) "did some work" at practice on Tuesday, according to Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News. Townsend reports that the Mavericks are hopeful that Brunson will make his return to the court in Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks. The 25-year-old was forced to miss the team's game against the Utah Jazz on Monday due to a foot contusion. His absence led to some big outings for Luka Doncic (35 points, 16 boards, seven assists) and Spencer Dinwiddie (23 points, five three-pointers). Doncic can deliver gaudy numbers no matter who is on the court. Dinwiddie, meanwhile, has been routinely scoring the rock and adding some assists since joining the team in mid-February, but his upside takes a hit with Brunson on the court.
