Ronald Jones II Receives Full Workload
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II had 20 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown as well as two receptions for 16 yards against the Carolina Panthers. The Buccaneers primarily ran in this game as they took a quick lead and didn't push their depleted passing game, so the former second round pick benefited in the form of massive volume. Moreover, Jones did a decent job with this workload. He's a strong runner and perfectly capable so long starter Leonard Fournette (hamstring) remains sidelined. Furthermore, the former USC Trojan may find himself in a similar game script in his Week 17 matchup against the New York Jets. Going forward, Jones will retain his status as a fringy RB1/2, especially in such a favorable matchup.
