Dalvin Cook Officially Active Against Steelers
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is officially active for Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cook was questionable coming into this contest, but he is going to play and is expected to have a normal workload despite dislocating his left shoulder and tearing his labrum in Week 12. The 26-year-old will use a shoulder harness during the game like he did in a playoff game in January of 2020, when he totaled 130 scrimmage yards and two rushing touchdowns. There's still a chance Cook cedes some touches to backup Alexander Mattison in this one, but those that were planning on starting Mattison this week should now be reconsidering him in a starting lineup spot. Cook will be more of an RB2 than a surefire RB1 in his return, although he is facing a rather porous Steelers run defense.
