Saquon Barkley Questionable For Monday Night
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for the Monday night game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barkley was reportedly looking good in limited practices this week, but it remains to be seen if he'll actually return on Monday for the first time since Week 5 when he suffered a low ankle sprain. Fantasy managers considering returning Barkley to their starting lineups this week are in a bit of a tough spot. The 24-year-old appears to be trending towards a return, but there's a chance he could be on a snap count against a Tampa run defense that has allowed only 79.8 rushing yards per game (second-fewest in the NFL). Barkley is shaping up as a volatile RB2 for Week 11. If he misses another game, Devontae Booker (hip), who is also questionable, would be in line for most of the backfield work. Elijhaa Penny and Gary Brightwell would be in line for more work if Barkley and Booker are both inactive, which is unlikely.
