Broncos Defense Disappoints In Loss To Eagles
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense played angry and with a chip on their shoulder in the Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys when they held one of the top offenses in the league to only 16 points. In Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver's D didn't look as hungry while allowing 30 points and 386 total offensive yards to a team that came in with only three wins. Star safety Justin Simmons came away with an interception, but the defense as a whole was able to secure just one sack and allowed 214 yards on the ground to an Eagles rushing attack still missing Miles Sanders to injury. The Eagles succeeded 47% of the time on third downs and led the time-of-possession battle. The Broncos defense continued their up-and-down season and will look for a better performance coming out of their Week 11 bye.
