Browns Holding Out Hope For Nick Chubb
3 years agoCleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that there is still a chance that running back Nick Chubb comes off the Reserve/COVID-19 list in time to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Chubb and rookie Demetric Felton, who is also on the list, must provide two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared for this weekend's game. But with just one more day until the game, it remains unlikely that we'll see either back play in Week 10. With Kareem Hunt (calf) on Injured Reserve for at least another week, D'Ernest Johnson will be the team's primary ball-carrier if Chubb and Felton aren't cleared by Sunday. For the volume alone in this run-heavy offense, Johnson will have RB2 upside against the Pats if Chubb isn't activated.
