Tevin Coleman On Track To Return?
3 years agoNew York Jets running back Tevin Coleman (hamstring) was able to get in a limited practice session on Wednesday. Coleman has been sidelined since Week 5, but he could be on track to return for a Week 10 date with the division-rival Buffalo Bills. In the 28-year-old's absence, Michael Carter and Ty Johnson have taken a firm grip on this backfield, with Carter handling double-digit carries in every game that Coleman was unavailable for. Coleman was expected to be the team's primary RB before the season began, but he's seen just 21 carries for 73 yards and has caught two of three targets for 17 yards in his four games (one start). If Coleman is able to return against a strong Buffalo defense, he'll just be hoping for scraps behind Carter and Johnson.
