Cardinals To Play It Safe With Kyler Murray?
3 years agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers, and general manager Steve Keim said the team needs to "be smart" with the signal-caller and "think about the big picture." It sounds awfully similar to the company line that the Dallas Cowboys used a week ago when they held Dak Prescott (calf) out of action as a precaution. Fantasy managers need to have another QB option ready to roll for Week 9, and making things worse is the fact that the Cardinals don't play until later on Sunday afternoon. If Murray is inactive, Colt McCoy will serve as the replacement, and he could be without wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) and A.J. Green, who is on the COVID-19 list.
