D.K. Metcalf, Alex Collins Miss Practice Thursday
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf (foot) and running back Alex Collins (groin) were downgraded in practice on Thursday and were listed as not practicing. Metcalf practiced in full on Wednesday, and it's likely that the Seahawks were just resting him on Thursday. Collins was limited on Wednesday. Metcalf has eight catches on 12 targets for 154 yards and a touchdown in his two games with quarterback Geno Smith leading the offense, but he'll remain more of a volatile big-play-dependent WR2 in Week 8, even against the one-win Jacksonville Jaguars. Collins had 16 carries compared to six for returning RB Rashaad Penny last week, gaining 35 yards on the ground. If he plays, he should continue to be the leading back, but Collins won't have a ton of fantasy upside as an RB3/flex with Smith still leading this offense.
