Jalen Johnson Probable For Thursday's Opener
3 years agoAtlanta Hawks rookie forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) is currently listed as probable for the team's season opener against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. He is dealing with right ankle soreness. The rookie tweaked his ankle in late September, but he had been practicing in full after the injury, so his inclusion in the injury report is a bit surprising. It seems likely that he'll suit up for the game. However, it's unclear whether or not he'll be part of the team's rotation to start the year. Danilo Gallinari (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's game, so if he sits out, Johnson has a better chance of seeing the court. De'Andre Hunter and John Collins will be the team's starting forwards with Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish and Solomon Hill headlining the team's forward options off the bench.
