Antonio Gibson Not Practicing Wednesday
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson (calf) has his helmet off and is not practicing on Wednesday. Gibson was on the sidelines with his helmet off at the end of the Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and he underwent an MRI exam on Monday. The 23-year-old has played the last several weeks while dealing with a hairline fracture in his shin, but he could be dealing with a new issue entering Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers. As a result of his new leg injury, Gibson saw only 10 carries for 44 yards last Sunday. If he is limited or out this weekend, pass-catching back J.D. McKissic would have some real fantasy appeal in a game in which Washington could be forced to pass frequently. Rookie Jaret Patterson would also see a bigger role behind McKissic.
