David Njoku Sitting Out With Knee Injury
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (knee) missed practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. Njoku was a popular waiver-wire pickup at the weakest position in fantasy after he went off for seven catches, 149 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Browns may be just resting the 25-year-old ahead of a game against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, but we'll know more later this week. Austin Hooper had a higher snap percentage (72.2) than Njoku (63.9), but it was Njoku who had all seven of the tight end targets on Sunday. Unlike the Chargers, though, the Cardinals have been the most unfriendly team to opposing tight ends in terms of fantasy points per game through five weeks. If Njoku plays, he'll be more of a high-end TE2 until there's more evidence that his Week 5 usage will be the norm.
