Jaire Alexander Likely To Avoid Surgery
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that the team is trying to avoid surgery for cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder) "at all costs," but they will not say how long he'll be out. LaFleur did say, however, that Alexander is unlikely to play in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Packers would like to avoid surgery for Alexander, since it would likely put him out for the rest of the season. The 24-year-old shutdown cornerback is dealing with an AC joint injury to his right shoulder, and there's a good chance he'll miss more than just Week 5. Alexander had 13 tackles (nine solo), an interception and three passes defensed in four games. Green Bay's secondary will be put to the test in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Packers defense is off the streaming radar this week.
