3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (calf) was held out of practice on Wednesday. Kittle caught only four of his 11 targets for 40 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he's listed as day-to-day to begin the week after aggravating the calf injury that had him listed questionable going into the game. Kittle will need to at least get in a limited practice session this week if he wants to play this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The 27-year-old remains a high-end TE1 despite two down performances in a row and a quarterback situation in flux. If rookie quarterback Trey Lance is forced to make the first start of his NFL career, you may want to temper expectations for Kittle against a Cardinals D that has allowed only 93 yards and no touchdowns to tight ends through four games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
