Tyler Alexander A Tough-Luck Loser On Tuesday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Tyler Alexander had one of his better outings of the year against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. He pitched six innings and allowed four hits, one walk and one earned run while striking out six. Unfortunately, the Tigers couldn't get anything going offensively and Alexander was tagged with his fourth loss of the year as a result. Tuesday's outing was just Alexander's second quality start of the year. Over 40 games (14 starts) on the year, he has a 3.95 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. As of now, he's slated to start the team's final game of the year against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday.
