Carlos Correa Looking To Finish Strong
Carlos Correa will head into Tuesday night's action against the Rays hoping to finish up his season strong. It has been a resurgent campaign for the impending free agent, posting his highest total of home runs (24) and RBI (88) since 2017. Correa has cooled off a touch in the second half, posting a .772 OPS since the All-Star break after posting an .895 mark in the first half. Correa will be a solid play hitting in his home ballpark, and he is slashing .269/.377/.482 at Minute Maid Park this season.

Carlos Correa Goes on Seven-Day Concussion Injured List
Carlos Correa (concussion) on the seven-day concussion injured list on Friday, according to The Atheltic's Dan Hayes. Correa collided with outfielder Byron Buxton, who is in the league's concussion protocol, in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Orioles. The 30-year-old was not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers and will now sit out for an additional seven days, if not longer, depending on how he progresses through the league's protocols for head injuries. The earliest he'll be able to return will be May 23. Keep Correa stashed in all fantasy leagues while he recovers. In the meantime, Brooks Lee, the eighth overall pick in 2022 out of Cal Poly, will function as Minnesota's primary shortstop. The 24-year-old switch-hitter will gain deep-league value in the short term. He enters Friday's action hitting .250 (25-for-100) with four homers and 10 RBI.

Carlos Correa, Byron Buxton Both Out on Friday
Carlos Correa (head) and outfielder Byron Buxton (head) are both out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers after they collided chasing a pop-up in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Orioles. Although neither player has been put on the injured list, they are both in the league's concussion protocol, and it's unknown if they'll be available to play all weekend. Brooks Lee is starting at short and batting third, while DaShawn Keirsey Jr. is in center field and hitting eighth against Brewers right-hander Chad Patrick. Fantasy managers should prepare for the potential of both Correa and Buxton landing on the seven-day concussion list if they are unable to return in Milwaukee this weekend. Both Lee and Keirsey will be everyday players for Minnesota until Correa and Buxton are able to return.

Carlos Correa In Concussion Protocol After Collision On Thursday
Carlos Correa (head) is in the league's concussion protocol after a scary third-inning collision with teammate Byron Buxton in Thursday's series finale against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. Correa backpedaled into shallow center field before Buxton slammed into the back of him and jarred his head and neck drastically. The 30-year-old veteran appeared to absorb the worst of the impact, although Buxton was also removed from the game. Correa went 0-for-1 in the game before Brooks Lee shifted from second base to shortstop to replace him. It's a pretty good bet that Correa will be out for Friday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers, and he could be headed for the seven-day concussion list. Lee, a former first-round pick, figures to see most of the starts at the 6 for however long Correa is out.

Carlos Correa Getting A Breather On Sunday
Carlos Correa is getting a day of rest for Sunday's series finale against the visiting San Francisco Giants at Target Field. Brooks Lee will make the start at shortstop and will hit cleanup against Giants right-hander Landen Roupp. Correa will be getting his first day off since April 16. In 21 games since then, he has gone 23-for-82 (.280) with two home runs, three doubles, nine RBI and eight runs scored in 86 plate appearances. It's been nice to see from the 30-year-old Puerto Rican veteran after a slow start to the year, but he's still slashing only .231/.270/.329 with an ugly .598 OPS, two homers, 13 RBI and 13 runs scored in 2025. Lee, the former eighth overall pick in 2022 out of Cal Poly, has been mediocre at the plate so far this year with a .232 average (19-for-82), two homers and seven RBI. The 24-year-old switch-hitter has never faced Petty.
