The Arizona Diamondbacks placed shortstop Nick Ahmed (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Sunday. The 31-year-old veteran had been sidelined for about a week before the move to the injured list. The team originally said he was dealing with right shoulder soreness, but he was placed on the injured list with left shoulder inflammation. The move is retroactive to September 23, so he's technically eligible to return for the team's last game of the year. Geraldo Perdomo was recalled to take Ahmed's roster spot and he should see a good amount of playing time going forward, though Josh Rojas might be the team's primary shortstop in Ahmed's absence.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
