Carter Kieboom Back In The Lineup On Wednesday

Washington Nationals third baseman Carter Kieboom (thumb) is back in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Elieser Hernandez and the Miami Marlins. Kieboom jammed his thumb while sliding into a base during Monday's game against the Marlins. He sat out on Tuesday, but Nationals manager Davey Martinez said he was available off the bench if needed for the game. Kieboom has been a regular in the Nationals over the past two months. He showed some promise in August, slashing .250/.348/.469 with six home runs and 15 RBI, but he's struggled so far in September, slashing just .174/.260/.188 with no home runs.
