Jake Arrieta Exits Sunday's Start With Groin Strain
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Jake Arrieta (groin) had a rough and extremely brief outing against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. He faced just six batters before he was pulled with a right adductor groin strain. He allowed three hits and one walk and he was charged with a total of five runs (four earned) over 1/3 of an inning. The veteran recently spent time on the injured list due to a strained left hamstring. It seems like there's a good chance he'll be heading back to the injured list once again. Arrieta signed with the Padres in mid-August. Over four starts with the team, he has gone 0-3 with a 10.95 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP.
