Miles Sanders Has A Workmanlike Week 1
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders did everything expected of him in a Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Sanders ran the ball 15 times, gaining 74 yards. He added four catches on five targets for 39 more yards through the air. Sanders led the backfield in touches, but rookie Kenneth Gainwell ran the ball nine times, made two catches, and scored a touchdown. Quarterback Jalen Hurts also kept the ball and ran seven times himself. Sanders is an excellent running back, but if this kind of backfield split continues, he will have trouble returning more than RB2 value since his chances will be limited, especially in a game with a different script.
