Bradley Chubb Could Be Questionable For Week 1
3 years agoDenver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb (ankle) had offseason surgery on his ankle, but he tweaked his other ankle in the team's preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams and was limited in practice on Thursday. Chubb has a shot to play in the season-opener on Sunday against the New York Giants, but if he does play, there's a good chance he won't be 100 percent and would likely be on a snap count. The first-rounder in 2018 is trending in the right direction, but he's probably not the best IDP starter to kick off the 2021 season. The Broncos are hoping that a healthy combination of Chubb and Von Miller, along with a strong secondary, can help them compete in the tough AFC West. They have plenty of potential on offense, but their defense remains their calling card, and even with Chubb up in the air, the Broncos defense has top-five potential in Week 1 against a Giants offense that will likely ease star running back Saquon Barkley (knee) back into the fold.
