Josh Lowe Swipes Bag In MLB Debut
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe went 1-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base in his big-league debut Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. He started in right field and batted eighth in Wednesday's loss. The Rays rookie outfielder reached base on a walk and stole his first career base. He later hit an infield single for his first major league career hit. Lowe was replaced in the eighth inning by Yandy Diaz. He was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday after the Rays placed star outfielder Randy Arozarena on the paternity list. Tampa Bay has a crowded outfield, and at-bats will be tough to come by for Lowe, making him more of a streamer in most league formats.
