Gerrit Cole Exits Tuesday’s Game With Hamstring Tightness
3 years agoNew York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole (hamstring) exited Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays early with hamstring tightness. He allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out two across 3 2/3 innings before exiting with the trainer. The severity of Cole's hamstring injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation as the Yankees will provide an update after the game. The 30-year-old ace was having another terrific season in 2021, posting a 2.78 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 217 strikeouts over 158 2/3 innings this season. Stay tuned for further updates.
