Griffin Jax Fails To Make It To Fifth Inning Sunday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Griffin Jax didn't have his best stuff in Sunday's no-decision against the Rays. Jax pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits while walking one. He struck out just three batters. Jax was gifted a four-run lead by the Twins offense but couldn't hold it, allowing runs to cross the plate in the third and fifth innings. The results haven't been good lately for the 26-year-old, who has surrendered a total of 19 earned runs over his last 14 1/3 innings pitched while seeing a dip in the strikeout numbers. Jax can safely be dropped, as he is sporting an ERA north of 6.70.
