Jackson Kowar Pitches Six Strong Innings On Wednesday

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Jackson Kowar had the best outing of his young career on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians. He pitched six innings and allowed four hits, three walks and two runs (zero earned) while striking out six. Unfortunately, the Royals couldn't provide him with much run support and he wound up with a no decision. The 24-year-old made his first three MLB outings this past June and really struggled, allowing 10 earned runs over five innings. He spent the past two-plus months at Triple-A before being called up prior to Wednesday's game. He'll likely make his next start for the Royals on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles. He's someone worth keeping an eye on for all fantasy formats.
