Brett Anderson Removed With Shoulder Contusion
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brett Anderson (shoulder) was removed from his start against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday due to a left shoulder contusion. In the second inning of the game, he was struck on his left shoulder by a 103 mph comebacker. He finished the inning, but didn't come back out for the third inning. It doesn't sound as if the injury is anything significant, but we should know more in the coming days. As of now, he's scheduled to make his next start on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Over 21 starts on the year, Anderson has gone 4-8 with a 4.18 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP.
