Ben Gamel Swipes Bag In Tuesday’s Loss
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Ben Gamel went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and a run scored during Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox. He stole his first bag of the season on Tuesday. The 29-year-old continues to lead off for the Pirates but hasn't done much at the plate with his opportunity. Gamel is hitting .125 (2-for-16) with four walks, two runs, and a stolen base over his last six games. The Pirates outfielder is mainly an option in NL-Only league formats. Overall, Gamel is slashing .249/.340/.398 with six home runs, 19 RBI, 32 runs scored, and one stolen base over 96 games in 2021.
