Lucas Giolito Removed From Tuesday’s Game
3 years agoChicago White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito (hamstring) was removed from Tuesday's game with left hamstring tightness. He appeared to tweak his hamstring after awkwardly fielding a grounder in front of home plate during the fifth inning. The White Sox right-hander tried to stretch his leg and was removed from the game shortly after. Giolito allowed two earned runs on three hits and four walks while striking out five before exiting. The severity of Giolito's injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Overall, Giolito owns a (9-9) record along with a 3.69 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 180 strikeouts over 158 1/3 innings in 2021. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation, and the White Sox will provide an update after the game.
