Ronald Jones II Collects 27 Yards On Four Carries
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II had four rush attempts for 27 yards against the Houston Texans. Jones is in a battle with Leonard Fournette for the starting gig, and regardless of who wins, they'll surely still split carries. Fournette seemed to assume the starting role in the Playoffs, but Jones was deservingly the starter for the majority of the regular season. As long as the Buccaneers have Tom Brady on their team, they're going to remain in win-now mode and not let loyalty to a running back interfere with success. Whoever the better runner is will get more carries, and film proves that that's Jones. Nothing is certain, but the former USC Trojan is the best back on the Buccaneers’ roster and should be drafted as such.
