3 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Sony Michel said his goal is to be ready for the Week 1 season opener after recently being traded from the New England Patriots to the Rams in light of Cam Akers' (Achilles) season-ending injury. The move to LA should give Michel more of an opportunity than he had in Bill Belichick's backfield behind Damien Harris. Akers is already out for the year and the oft-injured Darrell Henderson Jr. (thumb) is out for the rest of the preseason. Henderson should be the team's primary running back when healthy, but Michel is an upgrade over both Xavier Jones and Jake Funk in terms of pure ability and experience. Because of his lack of pass-catching skills, Michel doesn't offer much upside in PPR leagues. However, his stock is certainly up with the move to Los Angeles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
