3 years agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said he'd like to name a starting quarterback between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill by the preseason finale this Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals. Winston received the start against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night, with Hill getting the start in last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. So far in camp, Hill has gone 134-for-205 (65.37 percent) with four touchdowns and six interceptions during team drills, while Winston has gone 146-for-220 (66.36 percent) with nine TDs and four interceptions. A lot is riding on the preseason game against the Jaguars. Winston probably would need to melt down to lose the QB competition, while the Saints might prefer to keep using Hill as more of a gadget player. Winston could have intriguing upside in New Orleans, but he should be considered nothing more than a QB2 in superflex leagues with his leash being short if he wins the job.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
