Mike Minor Goes 5 1/3 Innings In Thursday's Loss
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Mike Minor had a decent outing in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Houston Astros. He pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed seven hits, no walks and three earned runs while striking out four. He was left with a no decision in the game. Through 25 starts on the year, Minor has gone 8-11 with a 5.34 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP and a 23.5% strikeout rate. His 4.36 xERA suggests that he's been a bit unlucky so far, but he's really struggled to limit hard contact. His .440 xSLG ranks in the 23rd percentile while his 9.8% barrel rate ranks in the 20th percentile. He's lined up to make his next start on Wednesday and he'll face the Astros once again.
