Kyle Pitts Sits Out Friday's Preseason Opener
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts didn't suit up for Friday's preseason opener against the Titans. Pitts was dressed for the contest but didn't see any game action, with head coach Arthur Smith addressing it after the game, basically saying that the Florida product is right where he needs to be and doesn't require game reps at this point. The 20-year-old will likely see game action before the regular season starts, but it's not yet clear when that will be. Pitts is walking into a great opportunity in his rookie year as the potential second option in the Falcons attack, with Julio Jones' vacated targets available- though he's already getting selected as a top-five tight end, lofty expectations for such a tough position for first-year pros to excel at.
